A 50 Caliber shot & some pocket change! with junk----new musketball picture

Hope the pic works ok, I've had trouble with the camera.
Some lincolns, 5 dimes , a quarter, a Presto Jar & Closure Lid Co. cap ( with the "Good house keeping Seal" stamped on it), a broken file, nail, copper wire, bud cap, misc tabs, in the middle a 50 Caliber musket ball ( modern day however , hard to tell from pic ).
All this from about 8hrs hunting this weekend. I keep saying each dig could be the "one", this is not the one.

Quarter ID#from quattro 38
penney ID # 36 - 37
dime ID # 34 - 36
pull tabs ID# 17 to 20
Lead ball 32 - 33
alum. lid 38-40
bud cap 38-39
broken file discriminated ? just happened to be there
20 gauge shell 26-27

Hope to post more soon, and hope to get pictures right.
Thanks for looking at my junk.

Neverdone,
Hey, the one I found has a serial # on it. I guess the opening was a canning first for the pull tab industry!

Some of ridges left from molding are on the perimeter, which I'd believe would make it modern, but I'm not an expert. It fit perfectly into my brothers 50 cal mold.

This just says that it was made in a mold, and musketball molds have been around as long as musketballs :) It has a possibility of being old ;)

Jake,
You are correct. I not sure, but I think the older musket balls were something like 56 & 60 caliber.I'll have to research it and see what I find. Any expert opinions would be helpful.
