93rd Reg Kind of Day; lapel pin, plate, buttons!

Got out again today with Patriot and Hans R Dirty, and got some firsts for me. The best find for me was the 93rd Cumberland Infantry shako plate. Also got a 93rd lapel pin, and two Canada Militia buttons from the same period. Struck out on coins as they were few and far between, did get the silver pocket watch missing the front and back, some bits of lead, a musketball, buckles and a lot of iron and cartridges!

I believe the Regiment was formed in 1871, and this is some of the earlier stuff. 1870s - 1890s I'm guessing.

You certainly did well with that Shako plate, lapel and buttons... I hope the 2 sites next week will at least be 100 years older It was just the perfect day for detecting! No flies, not too hot and good buddies to hunt with.... Again congrats

me too but I didn't get much as it was at the end of the day and he pulled out 2 of those Shako plates and look at Hans avatar.. :P

Now what gave you that clue? lol. We had a blast. I scored 2 crowns and a silver queen and Patriot
got some goodies I know he liked. Nice score Hunthicks, glad to get out with yall again.
