Also nice to hear that you shared the hunt with your nephew.
The research is excellent and the pictures are great.

yea I wanted to get him over & something kept getting in the way .
took 4 years to finally get the time to go back.

by early spring when things start growing poison takes over.
not much else grows, but it gets a foot high cover of poison

We are thawing quickly.
Next week should allow access to a field that needs finishing from last year .
Clayish so it needs extra time for melt to soak,but not too much so's it allows easy digging and still have that magic spring moisture for signals.

yes on the way home I remembered the Field here in town where I got colonial Copper
& my nephew a Colonial era Real. when I pulled up to the Stop sign & looked.
there is a pile of snow in the general area where some of them were found.
so I still ave snow up here that needs to melt.
