872 coins in June.

Between traveling to much and to much heat,I was only able to find 872 coins in June.The first time this year I did'nt find 1000 coins in a month. I posted pictures of my better finds earlier back towards the end of June. Here are my totals for June;
1 cent; 303,five wheats.
5 cents; 53,one "V" a 1901
10 cents; 211
25 cents; 270,one SLQ a 1918-d( 98 were states quarters,41 different including 2 Bicentenial)
1.00; 1 a Sacagewea
Silver rings; 3
Other rings; 2
Tokens; 1
marbles; 1
keys; 3
Forign coins; 4
Other keepable items; 11
Total coins; 872
Total for year so far; 6889

Woody 50,It's was 101F here yesterday, the hottest it's been in 4 years. July's totals will be dismal, I suspect August will not be much better. I've already missed most of the month from heat and Travel,I stand at a whopping 113 coins for July. today I'm going on the mountain, I don't expect much. Good hunting, kane 23

Wow Kane! 101! I received an email from my Uncle in Portland today, was in the 90's there. Then I can understand why the count goes down for sure, I don't search when it gets too hot, unless there is a great site to search. I always have it warm when I search, even in the winter, but in the summer its too much to bear when the temp gets up high. Here in Holland, July is always (or has been for many years) a cool month it seems. Right now its in the 60's, and will stay that way for some time. We have had some nice weather, but July is always cloudy, and cloudy=cool. So if you were here you would be sucking them ol' coins right out of the ground with your detecomagnet....!

Yes go to the mountains that could be a way to do it if you go high enough! Good searching...

only 101 oh come on it dont even start gettin warm till 105 ,lol I hear ya on the heat its been hittin 112-116 here so huntin is at a stand still for me a bit .

60's? how about trading me for a few days? saturday and Sunday I found all of 37 coins, I did find my 35th silver ring of the year though, also a surface silver dime a 1960-d. Still I'm looking forward to September when it will begin to cool down.
Tank, I was in mesa a couple of weeks ago,never even took out the detector,to damn hot in southern Arizona....Ace

Only 872 coins! thats great ! My brother got me hooked on detecting last year & I haven't found any where near that amount of coins. Keep it up your on a roll.

vermonster,you'll have to try harder, July was a wash until the last two days when I found over 300 coins, July and August are a curse in Utah....Kane 23
