8 Silver Saturday. Including Gorgeous Barber Half. Two Barber Quarters Plus More.

Hi everyone,

Had another really good hunt saturday with my brother. I took us to that section of an old park i was working the week prior that gave up 7 silvers.

My brother took the equinox 800 on its maiden voyage that day. After a few hours the nox started finding old coins including a deep barber dime. Good machine i was pretty impressed.

We ended up pulling 5 silver me three him two. I found 17 old coins he found 7.

Was ready to wrap it up after 3 hours. While driving home wife called and said I'm still busy out doing nails etc and said stay out wich is super rare.

I was close to another old park but ive pounded this place over the last 18 years hundreds of hunts.

I'm crediting this program i put on the ctx. Its been really paying off for me.

Im at 28 ytd silvers and should reach a 100. Gonna have to be out alot though. I came down with the flu saturday so im a little bumbed.

I had permission to search an 1820 home tommorow with a friend coming up from Tennessee. Not sure if I'll be well enough though.

Thank you for all the replies.

Took a few days to hydrate and get well enough to check back in.

Yes agreed i should not have cleaned the half that well. Should have only cleaned the toasted barber quarters.

One of those things knew not to clean it but did anyways. It will tone back up some over time.

Lol been married 20 yrs im not that lucky.

Silvers came from two different sites.

Im not gonna share how i cleaned these silvers. If you send me a pm i will share with you. I actually didnt want it that clean. I didnt monitor it closely enough.

Not a huge deal someone out there would still want it in there collection when i decide to sell one day.

Dont wanna hear all the negative comments about cleaning coins that are already environmentally damaged light scratches etc coming out of the ground in the first place.

That's a very nice hunt with a bucket load of silver, my friend! Congrats on an amazing day. I'm glad to be back on this site, after a several year disappearance. Life happened, though, and I needed time to recover from the loss of my Dad. Detecting helped save my life through the loss of my mom, but I was so busy with personal training at the gym, that it left no time for hunting. I used to go detecting with my Dad..and it just wasn't the same anymore. I'm glad my wife has been bitten by the detecting bug. Take care, my friend.

Yeah I totally understand. Lost my dad 9 years ago this October. Always hard for me this time of year.

I used to take my dad out as well. Sucks at times because I used to share a lot of finds with him. I am also lucky my wife has jumped on the treasure hunting band wagon.

It's nice to have family to hunt with. I have a pile of finds from the past half dozen hunts I've had that need posted.

Just been so busy working then remodeling a home I bought two years ago every evening I come home from work etc.

Glad to see you are back and hope to see some more post from you in the future.
