Well today I went back to the site I found the Counterfeit 8 Reales coin.
I flew solo today and it was quiet. Just one machine hummin.
The finds were slim but I did find some more keepers.

I pounded this site alone for 5 hours today thinking there has got to be some more killer finds here.
It started out fairly slow being BBoy and I had pounded the site fairly hard a day ago.
My first find was the 1900 IH. The only coin found today folks. :(
The rest of the day produced some flat buttons and a what is it or two.
Here are the finds .
Good luck and Happy Hunting.

well I can not but wonder what documents the quill that was held in that holder might have wrote ?

That's what I've been thinking all day. It would be awesome to do the research and find the person that lived at that old homesite. We know he was an educated man because he could write. A lot of people at that time probably couldn't. Maybe he was in direct contact with the President. Maybe some of the letters exist today. It would be awesome to display the holder with one of his letters.

Looks like Hill Billy has a lot of work to do. :icon_sunny:

I think your right Randy. Need to find out who lived there so long ago.

That would be nice to know.

Definitely find out, guys! I bet the property dates back to at least the 1790s.

Has any one here found one of these before that they could post.
I've been trying to find one like it online with no luck.

I really like the barrel tap key, HB. All you guys need now is a keg of ale and you're set to go. :laughing9:

Would be nice if you could join us , bring you mug.

That is very cool! I would have thought toy mortar...similar to the toy cannons sometimes found.
