8 1/2" aqua colored torpedo bottle with K on end -- 1809 to mid 1850 era --

can anyone help me find out more about it--like the maker or cut the time frame down some? --lip seems to be hand applied -- seam goes all the way the lip & is not smoothed --thinking very early 1800's say 1810 -1812 ish hamilton type plain torpedo -- the k is the mark I see --the bottom is pointed -- thanks -- Ivan

Hi Ivan ,, very hard to date bottles with out a picture. Most (Torpedo's) were mass produced 1860-1915 give or take a few years, Sometimes black glass is easier to date, (Wine,Gin,Beer,Rum)

Hi Ivan ,,,, Don't feel bad about posting ,,,You have plenty of company, At some time in the future I will get around to leaning to do it also. Its just not our area of expertise. Treasure, Pirates, Artifacts, Research, etc. Now that's FUN ......

Dont know much about torpedo bottles but the way I understand it, if the mold line goes all the way to the top on most bottles, it is late 1800s to TOC. Can't tell much without a pic, and like I said, I don't know much about torpedos. They may date differently than others.

From what I've learned mold seams going through to top indicates ABM or Automatic Bottle Machine circa 1903.

Late 1800's to early 1900's as was said when the bottle was given to you ;)
