72nd Regiment from the Foreshore! February Mudlarking!

Decent day detecting the shoreline. Haven't found too many buttons in this area so was quite happy with the 72nd Regiment button...early Victorian I think. The glass button was a nice bonus and the mystery piece of rotten pewter has me going cross eyed...definitely something on that...maybe even military! Fun morning!

That's a good button Romeo. RPS...rotten pewter syndrome...... Your eyes get stuck, your head pounds. I get that from staring at pewter buttons !

Very nice finds, especially that button. That pewter piece is intriguing. At the risk of embarrassing myself here, maybe David vs Goliath? Just my imagination, I suppose, like seeing things in the clouds. I am terrible with IDs, so hopefully someone else chimes in. Congrats!
