Hello Everyone,
Yesterday, I went out detecting with my bud, Mike(oknorom), to a new, old Barrio park. I'm sure this was considered a tough park at one time. Just look at all the ammunition I found there.
Well, I did something that I'm not sure I'll ever duplicate. I found what amounts to a 6 silver day with only 5 total silver coins found. How can this happen, you say? This park was notorious for digging up cut coins. Mike and I were finding lots of cut memorials, clad, and wheaties everywhere. Those darn lawnmowers. Well, for once, the lawnmower actually helped my silver count. Has anyone ever found a cut silver coin? I have quite a few of them this year. When I found the first half of a '50 Rosie, I thought nothing of it. Great, another chopped up Rosie. I was thinking to myself, "if only I could find the other half". Wouldn't you know it. About 7 ft from where I dug the first half rosie, I get a good signal, and dig up its matching half. What are the chances? After discussing it with Mike, and later, Curt(Bibleman) and Mike(ratman), they all felt that it should count as 2 separate silver finds. Yippee!!
So, not a bad day at all. Great hunting with you again Mike. We survived another day in the Barrio.
Thanks for looking, and Happy Hunting......just 7 more!!
