Copper nugget looks natural, probably from the Upper Penninsula of Michigan, where they can still be "picked up", especially by a metal detector. Why is it there? Unless you live in Mich. the question provokes a unanswerable answer. Fun to find unexpected things. Next time, go for the gold nugget.

If you mail that Zippo to

Zippo Repair Clinic
1932 Zippo Drive
Bradford, PA 16701

they will send it back in fully functional condition. That one doesnt look like its been gone too long. I dont smoke but i carry a Zippo. I like your lighter.

I'm in Illinois, I guess someone could have brought it back and dropped it? There are a lot of Michigan transplants here. I hear ya' on the gold nugget! chicken nugget<copper nugget<gold nugget ;D

Thanks for the info, I will have to mail it in. A reliable lighter is handy to have smoker or not!
