Howdy Folks. I got a very old and unusual brass cartridge today and need some help to nail an identification. Judging by the patina it's an old relic. Another T-net member led me in the Gattling gun direction. Thanks for any assistance to this mystery.

With the + headstamp I'm going to say that's a .41 swiss.

Also when guessing the diameter of the bullet for you case you wouldn't measure at the rim, you'd want to measure the neck, where the bullet was seated before it was fired....hard to tell if yours has a bottleneck from the pictures being crushed.

Yup, 41 Swiss, the cross headstamp pretty much nails it. also in pic 4 you can just see a bit of the curve where it necks down
