Such as that is why I don't do Facebook! When my wife died in 2006, several of her cousins wanted me to join Facebook as a way to keep in touch. I did, then started getting friend requests from their friends that I didn't know. Then it just snowballed. I sent them each a note saying that if they wanted to keep in touch with me, they could use email or telephone; or even snail mail. I've not been on Facebook since. Also I didn't post much about myself on it, so I think I'm ok. I try to never post anything on the internet in any form that I wouldn't want the world to see. I do some of my personal business on the web, but always on secure websites. Yes, I know those can be hacked, but I don't have much that anyone would want. I try to keep my bank account below a couple of hundred dollars. If they get that, it would hurt, but not like a couple of thousand!
