I'll try to be brief.

Mom wanted to watch the kids. Ok!

Mom lives 45 minutes away in a great old historic town on the border of Connecticut. Brother says he talked to a farmer who owns the land near where he town was first settled back in the 1700's. I have been wNting to detect those fields for a long time.

Well, it happened. Permission granted!

Found a lonely iron patch in the field and worked it hard for a few hours.

5 coppers
1800 LC, 1802 LC, 1806 LC
two unidentifiable British coppers ( ring lower, like an Indian head almost)

10 buttons
A COMPLETE cufflink!
Massive crotal bell
And the usual stuff....

Thanks for looking and HH!!

Congratulations on a great hunt! Looks like a virgin site. You should have many days of successful hunting there.

It looks like a couple counterfeit British coppers. Excellent hunt! Nice links too. My guess would be a turn-of-the-Century site judging from the finds. Congrats!

Now that's a great hunt, congrats on the links and the coppers.

The bat wing buckle and cuff links are really sweet. Five coppers aint bad either.

Congrats on an exceptional hunt!

Great work! Love finding old coppers. I remember having those kind of days on my farm. Now, not so much.

Killer hunt, congratulations! :notworthy:
