42 degrees and 2" of frost, went out anyway, Match in the book
If you don't like the weather in New England wait a minute! Gorgeous day for January. Two inches of rain on Monday turned real icy, almost went on my noggin letting the dogs out. Yesterday the sun was pure, warm, not a cloud in the sky, I have to go out. Been a while between the weather and the holidays.
The first picture is an odd group of trees, it grows out of one stump, really has my curiosity peaked. No signals in or around it, yet signals everywhere else. Lots of history, legends, mysteries and Indian heritage around here. Hubby even thinks it's odd from memory he thinks its Maple or beech. I am thinking of cleaning the center from the dirt and leaves to see if I can get a signal. Worse case I have the guys chop it down, dig the stump out and I'll detect under it. What do you think worth the effort?
Had to swing some on the ways to my original location of where I think the trash dump is. The soil was so wet, pure black mud, I couldn't even feel a nail with gloves on. Took them off and froze my fingers. Still to thick for findings. Picture of the trail out to the dump, no luck in the muck.
Picture looking from the dump. i have found some unique relics there, a two pronged fork with a wooden handle (most of the handle Gone), a really old gutter hanger (Capt. Kidd's hook , remember?) a few other things. Not a lot of time, but got the half a spoon (hubby says it will be good for his diet) silver?, all the small unidentifiable rusted (OK it's all rust) pieces came out of the same hole, a large file. oh the bud can was closer to home, my brother in-laws I'm sure, gave heck for it anyways.
All in all it was a beautiful Day to get out, the story may be more fun than the finds, but an awesome sun shinny New England day. Supposed to be in the 60's for the weekend, I will be back out there, I'll let you know!
The last picture is for all my nail fans, told you we grow them big!
