my brother and i hunted a house built in 42 on friday night and a little more today. i found 5 wheats, 1948,1957,1944d,1948 and 1953. he found 2 wheats as well but i dont know the dates. i also found the following stuff; this heart shaped pendant, this little locket 22k gold filled
Nice haul, hollowpoint, love the Merc and the IH. That little locket is pretty sweet too. As always, wheats are nice as well.
I remember my parents telling me a that IH's were still circulating occasionally into the 40's & 50's. Instead of abruptly disappearing from change, they just sort of tapered off as people started keeping them
