I have become addicted to hunting people's front lawns, and getting permission is a lot easier once I mention that I am the local high school Spanish teacher. This morning I went to hunt a couple of lawns I got permission for yesterday. I wasn't having much luck except for a few clad coins when I ran my machine right next to the front steps and got a bouncy 25-50 cent range right on the surface. Figured it to be another clad quarter and put the tip of my lesche in to pop it out. Wasn't expecting the 1933-s Walker to pop out! And curse me, I scratched it in my reckless process. :angry5:
Couple minutes later the owner comes out and says she didn't know I would be digging when I asked permission.... I guess she missed that part when I walked up to her the day before with my little shovel in hand and she had seen me detecting in her neighbors lawn. Oh well, at least I found the half first! It is my third in this, my first year of detectorating. ;D Went on to the neighbors yard, slowed down, started my patterns and found the two Mercury dimes and 5 wheaties. A great morning!

HH to all!
Jared

All the best,

Yards are the best. Usually less garbage and most of the time it has never been hunted. My brothers gold coin was from a yard. Great job, keep hitting them. Dan
