Hey Everyone,
Stormfighter (Dan) and I hit the spot in the woods again. We've only hunted on the beach and in parks before. There is something to be said for hunting old home sites in the woods. Thanks for looking.
Glenn

Here are a couple shots of the stone walls around the site.

Here is a group shot of Dan's finds.

Here is the front and back of a button Dan got, any help on ID/ age would be great.

The back says Superior Extra Rich

A group of my finds, any help on the buckle and the clock winder? to the right would be great.

I only ran this piece under the faucet, it was deep in the mud next to a spring. I almost gave up on it twice thinking it was a larger piece of junk.

Thanks Seger98,
We looked at that piece in the field, we didn't think it was a coin because it was so smooth and thin, we thought it was a tag, he'll have to look at it again. From what I remember it was the size of a half dollar.

Thanks jgas,
We have to hike in a good bit but it's a valley area that's breathtaking. We pack all we need and spend the day.
Good Luck HH

Thanks dgaughan, we're getting some good old finds but the coins like you mention have eluded us so far, you never know though. We will be returning, good luck and hh to you too.

Just wanted to add these 2 pics from Dan that was requested. It measures approx. 1 5/8ths of an inch across.

WTG !!!! With all the items you recovered and the iron you removed maybe you'll be able to pick-up a copper or two on your next visit.

That buckle is beautiful... and real old !!!!

Nice haul !!!!

You're finding way more than I am, and my site is much more congested with saplings and other trees. I'm going to research the history of my site during the winter; that may give me a few more clues on what went on there.

Great finds. The wire looking things could be barb-wire. Some people out west collect it.

Cool site TDNY. Nice bunch of finds too. That looks like a neat place..kinda' different than my podunk town parks.

Thanks fellow T-netters! Glen and I have an awsome time searching for history. The state of NJ is full of history that is not covered in history books. There were many hard working men and women living in conditions that were very hard to deal with. Keep Digging everyone!!! Keep our History Alive!!
Thanks, DAN
