I swung by my regular Wednesday TS stop and my nemesis had just left. This place prices everything high then reduces it by 25% each week. Normally a gold filled ladies Bulova would start around $95. Yes seriously! At the bottom of one case was a tray of watches but they were not in the normal place. She said she had just put them out the day before and I was certain my nemesis had already searched them. But I checked them out anyway and I’m glad I did. Saw this 14kt White Gold Omega service award watch for $49.95. The best part is it runs. I can’t believe my nemesis missed it. Boy no gold watches for a year then three in two weeks! Happy picker! Actually 4 gold watches. Overpaid for a ladies Omega with box and papers several weeks ago. Missed that the bracelet was gold filled. Rookie mistake by a non-rookie! Apparently a large number of gold Omega watches have gold fillled bracelets from the factory. Hope to break even but $325 might be tough. Trying to forget this one but sharing my mistakes with you for benefit of all.

LOL! The “nemesis” that we all face. You almost want to not even check after them and then, Boom! Well worth it. And you realize they are not as great as you thought. Or what is meant for you, is meant for you! Congrats!!!

I got one like that and apparently I had another because I had found a ladies Omega movement in a bunch of other movements I pulled to scrap the cases on. I need to pay more attention to what brand of small 14k ladies watches I'm scraping. :(

Nice find! :occasion14:

Very cool. I wonder if any companies give solid gold watches today.
