Wanted to see if anyone here could help identify these three large pieces of worked flint. All were found in the West/Central part of Kentucky.

Thanks in advance!

Nice Finds! :icon_thumleft:
Is the first one flat on the bottom side? If it is it looks either like a hoe or chopper, and the other two look like knives.

No, not really flat, but looking at pictures of other hoes online, that sure does look like them! How cool!! I always figured it was some kind of axe head.

I agree with old digger hoe knife and knife sweet finds ... How thick is the first one by the way ?

Could b a possible preform but I would stick with hoe ;)

Lolol I like that haha can't get enough of them hoes ;)

The last picture is in my opinion a "Maples" point. The flaking and all looks like the sample in on page 576 of the new "13th Edition Overstreet ID & Price Guide" just a tad shorter, from Hardin CO, Kentucky (jmo). The flaking just fits better than a "Morrow Mountain"

Thanks, guys! The "hoe" piece is maybe 3/4" thick at the peak towards the heavier end. If totsuwa is right, and the last one is a "Maple" point, was it from a spear? Seems way too big to have been on an arrow.

Do these pieces have any value, or are they more just curiosities?

Well value is in the eye of the finder none are going to break the bank but they are all very nice ... Picture that maple on a bone handle used as a knife and then once it was sharpened over and over it would eventually made it's way to a projectile point ;) nice facts boss !!!!
