Hello, been busy with my business lately but had sometime to metal detect, nothing on tv, and wanted to get some exercise also,, got out for about 3 hours, 2nd signal i got a nice nickel sig and dug up what i thought was a gold pendant? right at the start, i was like wow,i have hunted this park probaly a dozen times, one time about 8 hours and have only found coins, so that was pretty cool find, as far as a gold pendant, hard to tell, no marks so probaly not gold, maybe just plated, about 10 digs later got a nice silver reading and dug up what i thought was a token, nope finally my first sacagewa dollar 2000 d, it was about 2 inches down, then the pulltabs started coming, not much longer before they close this park down for the winter, and you have to walk two miles into it, so offcourse was going for more rings, i have allready found 3 at this park before, pull tab after pulltab i dug, then decided to go out in the middle of the field to get away from the pulltabs before dark , i figured if i get a sig out ther most likely it won't be a pulltab, this has done me well pretty much all the time, not much digging but when you do get a sig, chances are it will be jewlery, i must of went 15 minutes without even getting a signal, probaly about 100 yards of slow swinging, finally a nickel signal right after i switched to my left hand because my right hand was getting tired, i could not locate without my screwdriver so dug a plug being my only sig in along time i needed to find out what it was, i pulled up a ring, cool, my 12th so far, drove home and now i am writing this to you fellow tnet members, dectecting is sure alot more fun once you get to know your machine and how to hunt different areas,, last 10 times out, i have found a keeper, wether it be a silver necklace, mercury dime, kennedy half dollar, gold ring , or as today i found 3 cool keepers, ring, dollar, and a pendant, best advice for you beginners, is just get out there, dig dig dig, , get to know your machine, how to pinpoint etc,, and search until you find something cool, keep consistent, don't give up early spend 2 to 4 hours if you can out there, but any amount of time is better then no time at all,, it's out there folks, hiding, you just need to find it, , happy hunting and keep it swinging tg
