it is pretty cool seeing that big silver edge in a clump of dirt,
& Thinking common' be a lady ! and it is :laughing7:

Thanks again all, looks like I'm grounded due to weather & prior engagements till next week now,
so this makes me impatient :tongue3:

Man, I was just thinking the other day how you found 2 or 3 last year.

How do you find them? I cannot tug one out!
One skilled and lucky guy!

LOL Has to be luck. can't personally see where skill can be involved.

in contrast, a couple of My hunting buddies keep pulling standing liberty Quarters out.
I'v only managed 1 this century that I remember. :tongue3:
fact is my whole quarter count isn't very high, but my Half count has improved :piratehand:

She's a beauty for sure Jeff! Congrats. :icon_thumright:

that's #3 since July last year.

I still wonder how anyone could loose one of them,
although I'm glad they did.

Kids & their 50 Cent allowances LOL

Thanks all !

Exactly. I thought it was bull when I bought my first detector over a decade ago and you would read the manual and it would show you pictures of people finding half dollars.
Still never found one.
So, until I starting come here I thought it was all marketing hype, as how could you lose one?
And, in reality a good chunk of change back then.

Did you use a sniper coil in the trash? (I am guessing you did).

actually I Used the 6" coil for the first hour, But only pulled one wheat, change & trash.
then I Got impatient on ground coverage and switched to the 11"
only found the half 30 minutes before leaving, just said to myself,
no silver today, I'm taking a slow walk to my truck.
what I Find on the way will need to satisfy me.
next dig, was the half, so I hammered that general area for 30 more minutes :laughing7:

this wheat came out same general area appears to be a 1910 but too worn to be sure
