couple months ago DK mentioned he would like to Hunt this one room school.
Being I already had permission, & knew the place was a chore due to the near carpet of beer cans :tongue3:
I wasn't in a hurry to go back. well I decided it was time to throw on a 6" coil and see what happens
this time.

Seems like that place must have been pounded pretty hard ! Maybe there are still some good coins to be found if you expand out
further from the building - Argentium.

actually the outhouse is on the N.W. corner of the property line & there is Electric Fence north & west to keep the cows in so expanding would be almost impossible unless the farmer N.W of the property was to allow it. I'v hunted this property once in the 90's, once in 2010 & once in 2011 this was the only time I found any coins there like I said, it's loaded with deep beer cans

Seems like there sure should be more coins there if you pulled a dollar out. Most would not miss that! At least you got out!!!

Yes it was only 3" deep tops & sounded like another can :laughing7:
the second I saw it & the size I let out a loud WO !!!!
I think I made DK Jump :laughing9: was thinking Token,
which probably would have made me happier
but still Big Dollar coins aren't Lost or found every day

Congrats again on that dollar Jeff!! Do me a favor though, next time you let out that loud of a war cry make sure I'm looking your direction.......I thought you swung you coil into the farmer's electric fence.......LOL!! And, YES..you make jump like heck on that one!!

Dave

Nice IKE! They are rarer to find than silver, especially a bicentennial. :icon_thumright:

Good day to get out though. Hope you had fun with your brother.

Where is DK's post...or is he in skunkville? :dontknow:

your probably confusing him with my nephew djm of PA

Not sure why DK hasn't posted :icon_scratch: he pulled a 28-S Merc out of the ballfield ( I believe it was a 28)

Old silver coins & relics are there I guarantee it, they are just very deep especially if your finding deep beer cans & a somewhat shallow dollar. That place needs the top 12" excavated & I bet a lot of coins would be found in the next 8-10" of soil.

i thought you wrote that school house off from the last time we were there. nice job on the big dollar.

Looks like a great day. Good finds + great friends = great day. I would have let out at big Woo-Hoo too if I found that.

great bicentennial dollar. I'll bet it rang in loud
