Sounds like a mid 70's Keene 3" over under box. The undercurrent has like 3/8" riffles all the way down and it's basically a good box but I would replace the riffles with expanded and cut the punch plate down from ¼" to 1/8". I think it's ¼" punch plate right? Anyway without seeing it, this is what it is. Aluminum box with a black plastic ABS header. I sold this one years ago to a forum member

Color of pontoons is a date setter. Also does the flair go all the way across the header as thats 95+ but if smaller and only goes about half way thats a semi crash and GREAT header for any box. You running a pj or suction nozzle?? This is the setup you need to run that box right BUT hole sizing on punchplate is predicated by height of seperator dividing the under riffles from the seperator plate. If under feed holes too big you pulg up your under instantly and submarine. Measure the distance from riffle top on under to plate and post for correct answer. Extend your classifier on top over the top of the first riffle to protect them nice 1/2" nuggets and again make sure you have 1 1/2 times the height clearance as the punch plate hole size. ALSO see the bend where the 2 sizes connect-that keeps bigger rocks from back flushing into the under and again blocking it up. It is the also the spacer that sets the height over the first set a riffles-Do it right and it rocks-John

Thanks John,no pontoons, has the smaller jet flair and a power jet and swivel nozzle. This thing is in like new condition,it was never used or used very little.
Reed it has the smaller punch plate allready.
Thanks for the help fella's. Wes

Hook up a great blaster nozzle with a 5/8" no kink garden hose utilizing a control valve on a lawn flusher sweeper nozzle and you double production and increase gold retention immensely. No more balls of clay or clumps to roll through the box and steal your gold, clean the cracks great, cut through impacted gravels like butter. Lift the box higher outta the water at jet end and turn up engine to blast hard clay and compaction and lower height to flatten and reduce engine speed for fantastic retention. 2 headers in one. and capable of decent concentration in a small unit-John

I am in the process of mating this sluice to a Proline 3'' combo float kit and am wondering if the only reason for mounting the crashbox sluices so high on the frame is to allow room below for the jet log or am I missing something? Wes

Flair must be long enough to submerge the jetlog underwater to maintain prime or ya spend most a the day yanking on your footvalve hose priming it repeatedly-John--also extra weight of additional pieces holding water and gravels as they pass through require more height as more weight, you'll be amazed at how much that puppy lowers once fulla water/gravel mix...party on and get it in the water whilst there still is any as kalif definately drying up FAST up here in N kalif..
