Had a blast with my Homeslices(kids)as we all know how it gets dark at 430 ish,so after school we headed to my favorite spot where scrappy pulled 4 washington buttons but I decided to do another section of field no one would never taught any good would come out of it.I knew I had about a little over one hour worth digging and we'll it turned out great. The funny things about this hunt with my kids was that I promised my kid I would buy him another soccer ball If I found a silver coin,he agreed.I knew for sure I wouldn't find nothing good since I've been in this field for zillions of times.I decide to do a different area next to the tree lines but quickly found out that the town posted no trespassing signs inside the soccer fields.Im figured some idiot ruined it by digging holes all over the place.I stayed away from the field and found a small stretch on the tree lines and in less then a minute I get a 67 on the deus and it was shallow,Bammmm 3 cents piece,I own my boy a soccer ball. The rest is history. Great hunt with the boys.can some one ID the copper coin???Plus someone owns me a free liter coke lol and wifey immediately used my 2 bells found last week for wreaths which looks great. The gold color copper say united States on it so maybe large cent? The other copper maybe a george?Oh how can I forget, dah!!we were literally 20 yards digging a coin when a huge tree came crashing down on the field maybe 30 foot long,my kids were shooked. We never know how dangerous it was as we don't take it for granted,God was in the mist of us for sure, amen.

Good stuff. Your copper is a King George I. (1717-1724)

Good hunt!
'Specially like the THREE Cent piece!
....AND hunting with the boys!
Glad to see you are teaching them right,
and to be excited about history, through detecting!

Great hunt George, and great kids!
Them 3centers are hard to come by.
And like IP thats a KG1.
That field definitely has some age to it..

Whooooo yeah! Beauty digs George! I personally like the trime the best since I've never dug one, but that KG1 is a great indicator of the spots potential. Congrats again buddy!

And the kids along hunting, that's priceless!

Congrats on the quality time spent and all those finds. :occasion14: That 3 center sure looks sweet, also the Large Copper, and the SLQ. Your wife made great use of the bells.

Great hunt and post. I was going to chime in with a kg1 ID, but I see IP and a few others beat me to it. Love those site you can hit a zillion times and good stuff still turns up... Like 4 GWs. Ha
