On wednesday after work I decided to hunt a church that was not far from home,it also had a small building next to it that I found out to be a one room schoolhouse that closed in the 1930's.I had hunted there before getting a Merc,an Indian,a Buffalo, and some wheats.Little did I realize that I would be crossing off something on my want list today.I managed a Variety 1 (no stars under the eagle-either a 1916 or a 1917) no date Standing Liberty Quarter...Doing the Happy dance(my first SLQ).I was also able to find 2 Indian Heads (1903,1907),a wheat that I managed to scratch the back(bummer)...It was a 1956-D.;I also managed another first,my first coin from Belgium...a 1974 1 Franc.I pulled a 1984 Canada penny,a ring, which i believe is stainless steel due to the surface rust on the inside(also no evidence of any silver markings).I found a really old 12 ga. shotgun shell end marked REM-UMC Nitro Club(reasearched this online might date as far back as in the teens).I also found 2 of the smallest shell casings I have ever found(only markings on them were an acorn.I also gaind another $1.41 in clad. This was my best hunt so far this year.
