Hey all,

We are having some beautiful weather in Seattle so I couldn't help it, I had to get out to detect this evening.

Probably didn't start until 7:30 so most of my hunt was by headlamp. Did some neighborhood curb strips. Managed 6 Wheats (all common dates 35-58) which puts my brother and I at 304 FTY. Find of the hunt was a 1904 v nickel. I'd never found one and now I've got two in the last week. Funny how that happens, huh?

Here are the pics!

Thanks for looking and happy hunting all!

Save a couple Wheats for Me lol
Congrats!!

Washingtonian, hunting after dark has to be tough.... when your eyes are bad enough, I can't read dates during the day... haha I'm 66 and the challenge would be too much... HH to you and all that hunt at night. I'm retired now, so, I have all that daylight !!!!!

It is! Took me 30 seconds to figure out I had a v nickel in the failing light. Thankfully I have a great headlamp which helps a lot. My neighborhood is pretty safe but I wouldn't night hunt in most places.

Well done sir. You are doing really well with this CTX. Good luck to you.

Your killing Wheaties this year, congratulations! :occasion14:

you are having too much fun! Naw, but it is nice to find something like a V nickel. At least you figured it out, mine was so toasted that I didn't have a clue.
