Went back to the new site for a full day of digging. Dug a bunch of buttons once again. Still looking for that big copper i know has to be out there. Should be getting back out there this weekend so hope we find the Coppers!

Second IHP of the day was a fatty and was a first year (my first) IHP 1859. The other came out looking real nice like it was dropped yesterday 1905 IHP. IMG_5933.jpgIMG_5934.jpgIMG_5935.jpgIMG_5936.jpgIMG_5937.jpg

Dug some nice feather/shell edge pieces, Little clover broach, Manhattan Brass Company oil lamp wick adjuster, grader strap clasp, little d buckle, a whatnot, and a couple more copper nails looking real green.

Was able to dig a part of a pewter spoon/fork, few furniture tacts, and this folded up led with what appears to be the number 6 (maybe 9) what y'all think that is?

Here are the buttons. One came out of the ground all crusted up but you could see a lot of gold on it. Took me a while but i got as much of the crud off as i could. It was Treble Gilt and you can tell. One convex button with a wreath in the middle got me excited. One button i can't make out but has what looks like a line on it. And one part of a button i dug looks like lead and looks two piece. Any ideas?

couple whatzits to finish. The one looks more modern maybe off of a car or something. and this other copper/brass thing looks almost wing nut but its got fancy on it. Thanks for looking and good luck!

Beautiful. I love all those age indicators. Looks like a fun site.

Yeah you should see the sight you can see where the plantation home would have sat on the property. Would have been a good sized one too. Thanks.

Awesome relic hunt!:occasion14:

Nice site. I would not be surprised if you found some nice old coins there soon. The IHP's look great, congrats!

So far we have two silvers out of there, my 1830 capped bust half dime and VMI's 1700something half reale..so they are for sure there just need more! haha

Nice assortment of relics. I would unfold the lead piece-there may be more numbers/letters that you can't see.

Oh grasshopper how the student one-day starts to out hunt the Master. You have come so far since your first hunts. Those tell me y'all are on a crazy site. Good digs there Nick. I think I need lessons from Master Jon next.
