I hunted from the 2200 address section to around the 2800 section by the old lookout war tower siting on the beach we found a couple of quarters again some odd looking metal pieces that I have not a clue what they are and then I kid you not, my ace 250 hit a real weak signal it said that it was iron but then quickly changed to silver and gold so myself,my wife, and my 14 year old sister started to dig we dug about 5 1/2 feet and hit the water by this time the MD was going crazy it woudl say gold,silver,copper,iron, the screen was going crazy the deeper we found nothing the waves were getting closer ceeing how it was the begining of high tide again so we gave up.
Does anyone have any idea what this could have been or why the MD was going crazy I can usally tell if it is junk or a coin now but I have never heard it sound like it did last night?
If you go stand on my backporch at 2204 south shore drive and look to the right you will th eold war tower this is located about 75 feet straight ahead of that tower by the ocean maybe someone else can find it during low tide.
