Found my first Barber quarter yesterday and another today. Today's was found at a park which used to be a convent and was built in the 20's. This unidentified coin was found in a garden of a home built in the 1930's or so. I think it might be Chinese and I think it might be old, but other than that I know nothing about it. Anyone out there in Tnet land have any information on this one as to age, value ect??? Inquiring minds want to know...

May be a Chinese cash coin..

Absolutely Chinese I find alot of them. There are alot of sites on the web to age them.

Congrats on that nice looking Barber

cool digs! I have hit one chinese coin so far... mine is so far gone though that Ic ant ID it for a time frame or value... but mine was in the middle of a cow field.. used to be a house here in southern ohio.. neat to think how it got there

The coin is a chinese cash coin minted in the early 1800's,quite common finds here in the USA. Kane 23
