27 silver's, 1 gold

Hello!

Got out this morning crack of dawn for 2 - 1/2 hours. Wow, MD'd twice in one week...lol. Hit the local park and cleaned up pretty good on some nice jewelry. I hit the volleball courts, all the play areas, and the surrounding benches and quit because it was already getting so hot and muggy at 8:30 am. But I had a pouchful, so I didn't care.

I say 27 silver pieces in my title, well, that's a bit misleading. 23 of them were sterling bead pieces from a broken handmade bead bracelet. They are really nice and I gifted them to my daughter as she does the "beading" thing. I also dug a beautiful Sterling cross, very nice, a wierd shaped 925 ring, a 925 earring, and a 925 heart pendant.
My gold is a sweet King Tut pendant, 14K yellow diamond cut gold. It's about 1/2" long.

I also picked up some junk jewelry and two un-fired bullets. A 22 cal and a 380 special snubnose.

Hope you all are able to get out there and dig some goodies too.

also....

I picked up $2.04 in clad, 49 coins.
I always look through my coins carefully, even the pennies as you never know when you are going to find something rare or unusual. Today, it was and unusual penny.

It is holed, and has a hand stamped Masonic symbol on front and a different Masonic symbol on back. It's a 1974 penny and kind of interesting huh.

Hey, keep trying, got to think positive
always thinking the next swing will produce gold.
I have been detecting since the 70's so it becomes
sort of second nature after a while.

Ya, I wish. There's a lot of MD'ers here... just like everywhere. I guess I am lucky of late to hit em at the right times, plus I dig everything in the easy digging places like woodchips or sand, that helps!

That fishing thing was a surprize, but I think there is a pond on the back side of this park.
