25 cent paper note

hello all

a friend of mine has a 25 cent paper note from the new york treasury it has no date on it says its a fractional currency i was just wondering about its age and if there is any value its not in the best shape everything is still ledgible tho

This is the Fourth Issue 1876 Febuary 15. It is Worth $30 in VG-8 So I would put a value of around $12 on this one. I used the Red Book of Paper Currency to recieve this information. Still a very lovely addition to any collection and a great piece of history. I would smooth it out and put it in a currency holder. It would look alot better that way.
