Today hunting for four hours or so, Was raining all day and the mud stuck to the boots ... but I could rescue the mud ,three Billon small coins of King Philip III and a couple of very nice medals ...

Most of the finds are from 17h to the 20th century ... although the large piece of lead weight is actually a Roman trade with a bastago Iron in the center, but in this field are not many previous findings on the Middle Ages.
I like that in my collection is part of all possible centuries, but most are from the 17th century.

Very, very nice! Love the silver!

There is very little silver in these coins are Billon (only 30% silver), King Philip II, he realized that many silver coins disappeared from Spain, because they were cast in foreign coins and changed by , he put into circulation within the foreing nations.
He then had to lower the quality of the silver coins that were not exported and curb counterfeiting and the flight of silver the Americas.
Although the Royals continued to use pure silver for purchases, but stopped circulating pure silver coins for small coins, you must have in mind that coins circulated in spain was completely coin cut prohibited .. , then preferred to low silver coins that the coins items that were cut coins used in the rest of the Spanish Empire.
These coins show you in this post, could only move in the Kingdom of Aragon, who was one of the European kingdoms of the Spanish Empire. Never be able to find in America or anywhere else, and were arisen I deem in the mints of Barcelona and Zaragoza, two cities of present-day Spain.

I am glad to speak to you, I really like their findings from the Netherlands, I spent a couple of times in Amsterdam and I liked the city. It is also interesting that some of his findings are similar to mine since our two countries They were exposed to closely related to the 16th centuries 18th.
You have coins and many other findings of Flanders was named as the Netherlands during the era of Spanish rule. In these coins almost always appears the face of King Philip II, and their descendants.
You are right , I more should go hunting, but I'm busy .... and I realized that a sick detection and there are more important things in life ... like the warehouse with thousands of findings without studying or classifying.

These are my results for the month of October .... missing six days to make ends meet.
Hunting trips: 9
Total hunting Hours : 29
Total finds: 381
Good finds: 58
