.22 shells?

I found these and I believe they are .22 shells. I don't know much about shells so any information will help. Two of them have an " F " on the end and one has a " P ". I couldn't get a good picture of the P but I think you get the idea.

"P" is more likely (Remington) Peters. 1887-1934

I have found several late 1800s shotgun shells but the oldest coins I have found so far is a 1911 wheat penny and a 1943 Mercury Dime

Sounds to me that you are hunting in the right spot!
