It could be a standardized Industrial Classification tag. The number 2041 designates wheat flour and wheat germ.

Today finds from 1800's homesite. Same site that I found an 1831 Britannia penny at the other day. 1882 indian, wheatie,ivory token, and some jewelery. The item in the picture with the quater (for reference) says 2041 and some other lettering but worn smooth, any ideas? Coin from time traveler?Thanks for any help.

Time travel would require going faster than light which is impossible so I'd say its a token;). The buckle is cool, looks like its half missing other half might still be there at the site. Nice recoveries!
