Today the sun was a shining, temps in the 50's and snow in the forecast. Good afternoon for walk. Much to my surprise, no one was there when I pulled up. This is a popular spot.
Once again I tried walking an area I haven't been over much. And once again nothing showed up. So I circled back to the slope where most everything shows up. The slope with all the foot prints. And what do you know. Is that little guy just sticking out there? Aw is the tip gonna be there? As always, nope. Still nice though

Triangle city!
A lot of them look similar. In combination with the pottery, does it indicate a multicultural site or a singular time period?
Great spot.

I think the majority of the triangles are Ft Ancient. I have found a couple I think are Madisons. They are usually laying in with all the pottery pieces. While bent down picking up pottery is when I mostly spot them. The pottery is covering the ground in several small areas of the field. Then there are the chert pieces covering the ground too. I probably pick up a couple hundred small pieces of chert for every one triangle. It's very interesting.

A little short walk before the return of winter and a small ice storm arrives. We had alot of rain middle of last week. Maybe a little to much. Lower part of field is under water.

So had to walk up higher. As always footprints everywhere. Still had a good day though, lots of bit and pieces. Nothing complete.

You

really should post these in a new post so they don't get lost/overlooked! Great (big) pics!!
Thank you. I thought about posting separate threads. All of these pieces are from the same site. It's a large field and all this comes from a small portion of that field. I just continued posting it all under the same thread. I never dreamed I'd still be finding enough things to post.
Can't wait for the ice to melt and see what shows up. Thanks for looking everyone .

Finally got enough sun to melt the ice and dry the mud some. Only spent a short time walking circles but the pieces were there. Nothing whole, all broke but still fun to find. The little black piece is my favorite. No idea what it would of been.

Do you know if they still till that field? Where I look is no till and I don’t have anywhere near that kind of production.
