Ground is currently frozen here in Pittsburgh, decided to share my finds of the year so far. Silver, including an old silver teething bell. 10 karat class ring from 1929, and two 14 karat necklaces.

Coins include a 1944 Washington, 1958 Rosie, 1937 and 1940 merc from the same hole, 1946 six pence and a 1913 Russian thingy, and a 1915 Canadian penny.

Thanks for looking... Hope this photo uploads...

I got my detector (Fisher F2) in the spring of 2015, but never really got to using it until the last two weeks of the year. All I found in the end of 2015 was a ton of clad and a few wheaties.

I live in a bad neighborhood just outside the city limits, I would say close to 30% of the area is abandoned homes. I have permission from my land lady to search any of her properties in the borough, which amounts to over 100 houses, apartment buildings, an old school and the old firehouse... All of these properties are untouched as far as I can tell... Everything pictured here was found in just three of those houses yards... I wish I had a better detector as I am finding my F2 doesn't seem to reach as deep as I would like to go...

I just hope its not beginners luck. I am planning on hitting up an 1850s old folks home later today and tomorrow as long as the forecasted warmer temperatures hold true...
