2014 DUTCH HUNTERS RENDEZVOUS

I purposely kept myself very busy that weekend at home so I wouldn't think about missing it - but I still missed it.

Is that Bill Fincham's son Heath that I see in a couple of the photos? If so it's good to see he made it out again after his dad's passing - his dad would be honored by that I'm sure.

Good to see all the other familiar faces as well - maybe next year I'll try again.

Paul,

You were missed by everyone who knows you. Yes that is Heath Fincham. He also brought his wife. The picture of the tent is their setup.

We hope your health is improving and you are in good spirits.

Take care,

Joe

Paul,

I know how you feel. I was at work all weekend. I still missed going.

Mike

Hi Spiny butt, err Cactus Jumper Oro told me that you gave my steak away again, ?? What right did you have to do that? Just because I wasn't there is no valid excuse and to add further insult to injury, he tells me that I will have to go Lake Mead stead of the junta next year. Buk a.jpg

Actually a diminishing operating fund at Tayops ate most of my funds, plus two grand kiddies and their kiddies got the major share..Here is another mouth to feed, great grand son.

Mike,

Your name was mentioned many times as well as Paul's. Hope all is well with you. You were missed.

Take care,

Joe

My name was mentioned many times? I hope all the kids were asleep and the women were out of hearing distance! HAHAHA

Mike

I'm glad Bayy was able to touch base with a lot of people concerning his Uncle, Bob Ward.

I was half expecting you to be there, but if you couldn't make it... hopefully next time.

Have been a long time "lurker" watching this thread - and I am amazed at the lack of commentary or posting on this years RENDEZVOUS.. In the past yrs there always was a lot of chit chat about the event - but this year hardly anything!! Is the event going down hill and just turning into a beerfest??

BC,

Welcome to this topic.

We only had around 65 Dutch Hunter's this year, down from over 100 last year. I'm not posting as much as I used to. Made Mom's stew and served, just about, everyone. As we have gotten more of the older, rougher around the edges, old timers, the drinking seems to have picked up, along with the four-letter spiced conversations. This only seems to take place outside our camper.

The rest of the Rendezvous is more kid and wife friendly. Unfortunately, Duke still had to put up with it. Duke is my dog, but we have loaned him to Tom and Sharon Kollenborn for awhile......:laughing7:

Wayne made Chili for Saturday night and that went over well. Heath Fincham drove out with his wife from Kansas. His dad passed away last year and was missed by all.

Bill Fincham having a conversation with Carolyn (My wife) and Sharon Kollenborn, a few years ago:

Ralph Johnson drove out from OK. Roger Newkirk came from Texas, as did Per.

You should try to make next years Rendezvous.

Take care,

Joe Ribaudo
