A lot of 1-2 day trips over to the Sierras in NorCal with Gravel Washer and 2cmorau. I just started this July and the guys taught me a lot about panning and sluicing for gold!! All but one very small vile weighed in at 0.97 grams. I doubt the tiny flake in the vile at work would change that number. My panning skills have improved greatly. Just for fun I bought natural gravel for my aquarium and panned it in there instead of just throwing it in. I did the same with my concentrates... so some day I can dredge the aquarium to make a couple bucks. I look forward to this coming year!!!!

That's pretty cool. Being a Florida boy I don't have a clue about how to pan for gold, but I've always thought it would be cool to try. Keep up the good work. You'll never find it if you don't try.

:help: #1 rule of mining--ifn' ya post locations of your favorite hidey hole or patch it will be over run right quick like. Keep your cards MUCH closer to the vest as the forums have proven many 1,000's a times that no matter how far away or desolute when ya post :BangHead: they will come in droves to clean it out and left to look like a battlefield with craters everywhere--tons a au 2 u 2 -John :sign13:

John,

Those spots I listed don't have much to any gold. Just places I take my kids locally to teach them how to pan. On a rare occasion, we do find a flake or two. But I do understand what you are saying!

Thanks,

Rob
