2010 Finds (Flint & Hardstone)

I finally got all my finds from 2010 into frames and pictured. 2010 was a great year but I put more time and effort into last year than ever before. Walked many miles and spent countless hours into finding these and discovered a few new productive areas in the process. Pictured are finds from western Va. and southeastern Wv. Thanks for keeping me inspired and best of luck in 2011 everyone.

Very nice Ryan. I thought I had a great year, but you blew me out of the water. Great job!!!!

Thanks Steve, I don't know about that man...pipes, drilled effigies, bone flutes, etc. you are on some rich grounds with alot of variety as far as artifacts. I love seeing what kind of pieces come from your neck of the woods and around the country. I never look at as competition...my only competition is the weather and right now it's winning. About 2 inches of snow and it's 12 degrees. I'd sink a shovel into the ground but it's frozen. Appreciate it man I'll see you at Ripley.

I remember reading and seeing many of your post and finds. You did have a fantastic year. Anyone that hunts can imagine all the miles you put in to amass that collection.
When you Google your area and the word artifacts it should pop up with one word. THIRTY7 !
Thanks for taking us along and sharing your knowledge along the way. This one ranks right up there with the new BANNER about all the bottles that were dug.
Hope you have a great 2011 and find your bannerstone :icon_sunny:

Man I was just looking at that motherload cache of bottles on the banner, truly an incredible find. Almost makes me want to dig up an old outhouse...well almost. Thanks alot Richard, good luck in 2011 on the artifacts and with the detector. I know you like hunting in January have you been out lately?
What a group of insitus ! Like the way those baby's are laying :laughing7:
Just hauled all my gear in from the mtns as the season ended today. Got the artifact boat charging already. Hitting a civil war site in Chickamauga first while we have permission then after the snow storm I am back to hunting Indian artifacts. Looking forward to finding some stuff and contributing. Hopefully some older types this year.
Have a good one Ryan.

Great finds. I only found a couple of pieces this year that would rate with those.

Is that a quartzite Hardaway at 9 o'clock in the bottom pic?

Thanks for the comments. It's definitely a Hardaway cluster type. I think Hardaway Dalton, and Hardaway Palmer are possible.

In the third frame down, third from the right on the bottom is a Hardaway. Would have been my best example but the ear on one side is gone. It doesn't appear broken imo, just flaked off that way. The first point on the left in the same row may also be a resharpened Hardaway.

Appreciate the comments everyone, good luck and H.H.
