Murakami.........

The only reason that I am good friends with Sterling is because I have known him for years while I was being trained by Bob Curtis to be his heir apparent, while Sterling was writing Gold Warriors.

If you read Sterling's note here: http://bowstring.net/author note.htm you will understand that he is in danger and reluctant to meet people that he does not know.

Feel free to send me an email or private message to discuss this matter further.

Regards,

When you are talking about hundreds of trillions in principle, which creates billions in interest, you might say there is a bit of incentive to cover things up. Money buys power which is used to manipulate. Nat'l Geo. for example, what does their status (corporate & otherwise) mean to them in light of it being revoked by those in power? But then, most, believe it or not, despite the mountains of original documents, believe it all to be a myth. Ah yes, ignorance is nirvana.

Merxx,

Me,my partner Murakami and our team have no budget to buy those expensive hiking shoes, in fact our sandals is the cheapest in the market....but our mission is to relocate the biggest treasure ever existed....the infamous YAMASHITA TREASURES ;D...
Well, we can't do anything about it unless of course, somebody else out there who believe in our quest and give us...loose change... to purchase gears....
By the way, where is your promised contribution a month ago in spindle...so that we can purchase shoes?...aber?

Wayne,

We have a site that has been dugged up, the cement vault was exposed already, but the blade of the backhoe can't crack it open...until the backhoe itself malfuntioned...
We need your geophysics contact to reconfirm if the cement vault is indeed the treasure vault.
After confirming if it has treasure, is your contacts have the capability and budget to continue the operation until the treasure is recovered (meaning can they fund?) or they are just a detection team, and ask a share if treasure recovered?
Funder or detection only?

Gboy,

I promised two way radios with scramblers (to monitor radio traffic of the nice people's army and the government in the area), 2 tents, a GPS, an outdoor laptop with a satt antenna, swiss knives and tins of beef, if you remember? I didn't say anything about shoes :). ?Firearms and other shoulder and crew weapons if needed. ?I don't think you should bring a stove and I was even against bringing tents and bulky food. ?Sorry pare, training namin ganyan e, you will just make yourselves visible to others operating in the jungle, sorry I also do not see any reason to bring climbing harnesses and I think masyadong maraming tao yung plano mo. ?Thats why I was asking you if it was ok to if i could go alone through another route so I wont mess up your contacts.

The boots used by the Philippine Air Force (proudly Philippine made, support local industries) with the thick soles are also suitable, and shouldnt cost you as much as your Nikes. ?I used them prior to the Danners I got. ?(mail order lang pare 67 USD, inipon ko yon, mas mura kaysa four years supply mo nang sandals), Mine are already 4 years old OK pa. ?Plus you could go to Dao and get the export overrun U.S. Army Tropical boots new or second hand (these 2nd hand boots are softer and won't cause blisters). ?I get my BDUs, parkas, flak jackets, webbing, mosquito masks, gas masks, folding shovels, canteens, kevlar helmets, goggles ?-- all genuine U.S. and British SAS issue overruns (yes they are made here or in Taiwan) from the Baguio market. ?MREs from Greenhills, nigh vision from greenhills, smoke grenades and radios from Dau, flashlights from Dau, gas from petron, dynamite from the pier. Batteries from 7/11. ?Guns from gunrunners ?;)

I saved, traded, ex-dealed all this man, most of the equipment needs to be replaced in a year. ?I can do it again and you don't need all of this to start I think.

Pardon my ignorance, but who is Thor Hayerdal?

Thanks

A)? "Kon Tiki" fame, a former personal friend - now deceased, proved that Polynesians could have migrated from Peu with balsa rafts by doing just that.

Merxx,

Wearing military boots is a big no...no. :o , our treasure areas is in NPA territory, if they saw our team hiking thru the mountains wearing military boots/danners....we will be a sitting duck...no question ask...
Anyway, cheap sandals will do....hiking shoes is better....if somebody else from here, will donate to us.. ;D

my friend went back to palanan last week, he said they have a cement vault to break, he brought with him a submachine gun and a 44. no contact yet.

Wayne,
Thanks, i'll try to find that book. I hope its available here in Philippines.
Anyway, to give you an idea of what we are doing (but let me remind you that we are not treasure hunters, it just happened that we are ask to dig my granpa's ancestral home.) At six feet deep we were able to find very fine sand combined with soil/mud. after further digging, around four feet deep, white sand and water started to flow from underneath, and while digging we came across sand again, but this time the sand was not very fine. it was like the sand you see in rivers.
we saw what looked like pyrites. we also saw plenty of small pieces (the size ranges from one to two centimeters) of what looked like old wood (charcoal like wood).
at sixteen feet, we kept digging but we never got any deeper, we stayed at sixteen feet. water and sand continued to flow from underneath and from all sides, thus preventing us from getting any deeper.
by the way, we were able to reach sixteen feet after we constructed a box like structure, 5x4x6, made of wood. we confined the digging to the area within the box.
because we were not getting further than sixteen feet, we decided to destroy one side of the box, there we saw a tunnel/pipe from which the water with sand was flowing. this is around seventeen to eighteen feet. then we decided to stop because we could not contro/containl the water and sand.
We believe that just bellow the pipe/tunnel we saw is the door of the tunnel which we are trying to reach.

Wayne,

My hiking shoes size is 8 (US standard)....my other team member average size is 8.....but your size 9 hiking boots is also very much appreciated and welcome....it will sure make a difference in the jungle specially maybe during.... hauling? :-* (I'll just send you PM or email regarding these).

Jef of PI,

Bringing a submachine gun and .44 is not a good idea in sierra madre...bcoz if you have been monitored bringing along these weapons by the NPA or military (almost all residents there are spies).... they will sure take it from you forcibly...
Thats why our best solution....is to produce a bow and arrow (for personal defense/hunting....and its NOT HOT to the eyes also of armed people)..
But as usual... owning a set of bow and arrow...is just an elusive dream...we can't afford it...maybe a bowhunter in TREASURENET can DONATE us bow and arrow? ;D......
Or else....if ever we are lucky....while hauling treasure....we just depend it with... our balls ;D.

2005 EXPEDITION: YAMASH-I-T-A ( JAPS) TREASURE

Arch,

What you are describing is not the typical Japanese sand trap, but may be a water trap. Look for a pipe, usually terra cotta, that leads to a cistern or some type of reservoir at a higher level, like uphill from where you are digging. If it is a water trap it can be quite difficult to deal with, my partner used three huge $80,000.00 sump pumps on a site and it still flowed like a river. If you can locate the source or plug the feeder pipe(s) it may be managable.

Wayne,

By the way, if the japs put traps on their sites, let say a water traps, did they put something like "DO THIS, THIS WILL" where you can divert the flow of water? Thanks.

Arch,

Unfortunately no. The Golden Lily maps tell you that traps are there if you know how to read Kana, Kanji, Hiragana, Katagana, and the symbols that the cartographers used, but they do not tell you what to do, as these maps were designed to be used by the Japanese who presumably know what to do.
