200 Coin Day Mission & Contest-Prize/Closed To Further Entries
My mission for 100 coins (Almost 2 weeks ago) ended with 112 total coins after about 9 hours. The park is/was not as productive as the one I will be hitting Saturday.
I am using an ACE 250 (8 months using it).
There are no woodchips in this..........I'll take surface and eyeball finds, but 99.9% of everything will be dug.
I disc out zinc pennies and nickels. (Some may notice there are never any nickels in my posts).
Weather forecast calls for a high of 79 and low 64 with sunny skies.
Tokens and other non US mint coins are not included in the count. US silver will be included.
The rules are very simple for this one prize contest......
Whoever gets closest to the actual number of coins I find wins. In the case there are multiple entries for the same number, the person who posted it first wins the prize.

S&H and all that stuff is on me. Simply give me an address to send it to and it will be there.[/
Anyhow, I am really excited to just have simply planned this entire Saturday to a good 'ol day of metal detecting. Hopefully I run into a merc or something silver. I scouted two proposed starting points after work and dug a wheat, so that is a good sign.
And the prize is the $5 silver certificate pictured in the photo.

I like the idea of these contests and thought I would try my own. This Saturday, weather permitting, I will be in my selected park at sunrise, approximately 5:15. I will attempt to get 200 coins, but I am willing to dig until full exhaustion sets in. I calculate it will be a 14 hour day of detecting with breaks, some camera photos (I have someone who's going to stop by to shoot video clips), etc. Here are some stats to help you make a good estimate. My mission for 100 coins (Almost 2 weeks ago) ended with 112 total coins after about 9 hours.
