20 year old what is it

This was dug from a late 1800's picnic grove over 20 years ago.

It is about the size of a half dollar and did have a pin of some kind attached to the back.

Any ideas what it represents?

Completely different cap badge Boognish... that badge I found was a US Army Infantry cap badge - this what-is-it is not U.S. military at all.  It is the same style horn, but I believe the one in question is a hunting horn or a foreign infantry bugle.  (Like Harry says below).

Yep thats a bugle-horn - a very common symbol for many light infantry units around the world.
