2 whatzits

I put in about three hours at what I thought would have been a pretty good site, house and barn at least 150 yrs old, only found one coin, and it was not as old as expected.

Anyway got a couple of whatzits. both mysteries to me.

So why would it be beside a garter buckle from a Knight's Templer crusaider?

Because there's no rules to what you find detecting.

Exactly right, I always wonder why so many post put 'weight' to an objects date or function based on where it was found & what it was found with. At best these are just clues, at worst they have no connection at all & are 100s of years apart.
