Got out today to a new site - a hill in the back of a field. Looks to be 2 separate sites. One site produces strictly 19th century stuff onward and the other side of the hill some much older stuff. Only a small area where the stuff is mixed together. I didnt discover the older area until the last hour so will hit it again tomorrow. Not many signals but some appear to be very early and there is scattered glazed brick strewn about. Spectacle buckle and nipple button and boss. All broken! lol - Not sure how old the knife is. Nice cuff link design. I am very pleased with the large cent. Most I find are pretty well shot.

Congrats on the quality finds. Really like the LC. Nice detail.

Super nice looking finds. The LC is really crisp! Congrats

Whole lotta diggin... nice finds.

I think the knife is 1930's or so (one of those "slim line executive" jobs ) That's a pretty Lady on the 1803 large cent - Nice finds !

I am dying for a US large cent, going on year 3 with many hours under my belt and still no large cent. Thats a really cool find along with all the other loot!

You are definitely onto something there... some colonial nectar is in your future!!

Great stuff, nice spectacle buckle and a BEAUTIFUL Large Cent!

Congrats on all the great finds, the LC is just superb nice, and detailed, amazing condition for a field find. Way to go.

As soon as I get my boy off to school I'll be making the 35 min trip back down to the site. Its corn stubble which makes it tuff to hunt but the good news is that its weathered enough to knock over easily with my feet. So I can clear areas and GO SLOW.

Yep, I think this could be cob country! Hope so...

Yeap, the buckle bit takes you into the 17th C.

You have a very productive site happening there, congrats on the buckle and the LC both are in fine shape.

I was shocked when the spectacle buckle popped out. Thought it was a fluke until I found the rosette and nipple button just a few feet away. 15 min later it was time to leave.

What time span were the nipple buttons produced? Only found 6 or 7 of those total in 25 years of hunting. The last site I found some produced a couple 17th century Bolivian cobs.

Hour school delay for fog!!!! Ahhhh....!!!

Good finds, good luck today!
