Is it just me or do there seem to be a lot more questions regarding the value of finds since the introduction of those rediculous metal detecting shows? I don't believe that either of those bells would fetch more than a few dollars, but that's just my opinion. Then again they might be priceless!

If I won the lottery I sure would like to know...!! Knowing the value of things to me is important. I "have" to sell the things I find, just to survive.. I think its good to know and important to know what you have and its value.... Otherwise you'll be like the people we buy stuff from at yard sales for a *quarter* later in life...

The round or crotal bells, realisticly between 10 and 20 bucks, age size, and maker marks make all the difference.

Here's one that sold for over $300, but is a large (very large) one with makers marks.

Of at least two dozen I got my first this year with the makers mark.

I dug up the same, or at least a very similar, bell to your bottom photo. If my memory serves me correctly it has the number 5 on the base of it. Great finds!

Yes--most definitely ZDD

just that you never know when you find something very valuable...some of the oddest things are high value.

And I know next to nothing about this stuff so far..but I,m a learning !!!
