I have been pounding the only 3 field sites still huntable and found these.
The 1867 Indian head [semi key date] I found today at the same site that I found the two 1867 shield nickels. The only three coins that I found at that site. A Million to 1 odds I think.
The token came out pristine after a half hour in the tumbler and a thin coating of vaseline.
I thought it was a LC at first. [ same size]
Best luck my friends, Merf :hello:

Excellent finds as usual Merf! That token is primo. Congrats on the great coins, too.

Keep digging!

Some Beautiful finds in this post. The IH's are top notch of course, but the button variety is wonderful. And the two shields and two LC's are great finds too. My pick of the bunch is the cool token.

Great finds + Fantastic photography :icon_thumleft:

I usually wait to read your posts until I can sit down, pour a cup of coffee, and enjoy them. You never disappoint, and I thank you for that.

Some of the Indians I dig are so crappy you can hardly tell the date and some or Primo.
I think it must depend on the acidity of the soil or maybe what type of fertilizer is being used,

Awesome finds bud!!!!!
