Got out yesterday for two hours right after a big storm came through and tried a new field. This field is completely surrounded by streams and the water in the middle is actually flowing due to some flooding. After about 30 minutes I went to the upper left field as there is too much trash here and it was very wet.
Found some first class junk and wandered into a small forest which is to the far left in upper picture. There is supposed to be a 1000 year old farm/hotel in this immediate area, in the forest I found a large flat area that looks like a house could have been there and what looks like a cellar hole but it also turns into a ditch, perfect location for an old farm.
Found the upper left copper coin in the forest area, too far gone to ID. Had to leave the forest area as it got dark and I kept biffing my coil on fallen branches and such. Went to the field where I found the 1585 thingy, it?s a huge field. Detecting along I received a mixed signal and couldn?t get it to stabilize, common target here LOL, thought I would pull up a piece of iron or a bottle cap, was surprised to see a coin. Started filling the hole and found another coin so I scanned the hole again and another target was there, another coin, then another and another. 5 coins in one hole on a grassy farm field, rare! The coins are dated 1935-1942ish and the 5 Pfennig is in very nice condition. The reverse of the coins.

Also found an aluminum seal from Hamburg and a musket ball.
Then woke up to this early this morning and it?s getting worse. However, it isn?t over until the ground freezes! HH and thanks for looking, Mike
