2 Hours & 28 cents Later AKA First Wheatie & Quarter

Hi again!

I got up to the High School, well the area right outside the public swimming pool that is on the same land as the HS, and in 2 hours I found my first Wheatie Penny (1944S) and my first Quarter (1966), I found 8 other pennies ranging from the early to mid 70s and mid 80s.

I don't think this area has been hunted before and there's SOOOO many places left to search and I didn't even finish up the area I was in cause I had to catch the bus home.

So next Sat I'll go up again early with the niece and spend more time there.? Can't wait for school to be out so I can go before 3 in the afternoon!

Great job!! Dekalb is right!!Those quarters really shake the ole headphones!! Stoney makes a good point too....always be ready to jump on the next chance at finding new places to hunt. When I first started detecting I only used the parks , close friends and familys yards and land to hunt....now if I see a good looking spot.....I will stop and ask permission in a heartbeat....all they can do is say yes or no....well I did get cussed out one time by a woman that knew words I had never heard before... ;D I have found more say yes than no. Just like detecting...it gets easier every time!!Good luck and H.H.

Hey SonjiaMarie! Sounds like you had a good time at the concert. Did you get a chance to check out any apprasials on your ring. Also, when are you gonna post a Mug Shot? Spotz

Spotz,

The concert was great! We had a good time.

I took it to one place and they said it was a amythest and silver but modern and was maybe worth $125.

I hate my picture being taken but maybe I'll post one some day.

Congrats Sonja, you've come a long way in a very short time. Can remember when you were getting frustrated about trash, trash, nothing but trash. Now you've been bitten by the Mr. Detector bug and there's no known antidote. :D HH
