Had one of those days I often dream about! A silver bonanza! A friend and I went out to hit a place that we had scouted a couple of days ago and found a few silver dimes at. Came back this morning to try it in earnest and it was like a slot machine ringing up silver! By the time we packed it up around lunch we had 20 silver items between us - one 1897 barber my friend dug, 13 Mercs, 3 Rosies, 2 miraculous medals and an awesome Cub Scouts ring. Plus about 50 wheat pennies between us. I don't post very often but this was a hunt to remember so I wanted to share it with you. Happy Hunting!

Thanks everyone for your great replies! Really appreciate it! This was one of my most fun and best hunts ever in my 3 years of detecting.

Pepperdawg this was a small, compact park. But surprisingly it was not very trashy at all, no can slaw and only a moderate amount of pulltabs and shallow clad. It almost seems like it was hunted 5-10 years back pretty hard by a detector which could get down about 5 inches or so and the past hunters cleared away a lot of the trash. The "bingo zone" was 6 to 8 inches.

Thanks for sharing info - again - nice work!!!!
