Being cooped up with my wife makes us get at eachothers throats, so I decided to get out for a few hours.
As I was swinging for about an hour with no solid signals, I finally get something that made me smile, the singing of silver.
As I dug and dug my smile started getting bigger and bigger and there she was, an 1888 Morgan dollar. When I pulled it out to take a look I accidentally dropped it back in the hole but the sound was wierd as if I dropped it into my pocket with change. I reallized that there was another coin, I pulled both coins out and as luck would have it another Morgan dollar 1884. I just love silver!!! :icon_king:

I believe they were part of a coin collection because there was a massive flood that ripped a few trailers off of an embankment and now it is just a dried up river bed

this site was devastated by a flood in 2006 3 trailers were swept in the creek and 1 was bulldozed down and pulled away from the bank, the fire dept was afraid that all the debris would get caught up in the bridge down stream I was there with the fire dept on that morning when we started an evacuation of the trailer park one lady who lived in the park lost her wedding rings that were in a ring box that I found 2 days after the flood the box down stream stuck in a tree, they were returned...come to find out her husband is no longer with us he was a pilot in ww2 she said that his uniform was lost also, for 2 3 days after the flood a bunch of fireman walked the creek looking for items to return lots were found even his uniform and hat lots of pictures, but very few coins were found until now that the water is very low. according to her husband had a pretty good size coin and gun collection it all went into the creek every thing in all 3 trailers as there was little time to even get them out of the house so all that went in there is still in there my dad just found another morgan dollar tonight a 1904 in just as nice condition as the 2 that rob found plus I found 2 indian heads that were not from the collection and have been in the ground for some time...we will pound this place until we are sure that there is no more...lol

i would think this would warrant some seroius dirt removal.if u could get a small garden tractor w a blade in there.u might find a whole coin collection

the dirt has been overturned because there was so much debris from the trailers that were lost.
there has been dozers and backhoes through alot of the area
